Taki is a refined rectangular tile handcrafted in Japan using time-honoured techniques passed down through generations of ceramic artisans. Produced in a region with over 400 years of pottery tradition, Taki reflects a deep respect for material, process, and form.
Its elongated shape and softly undulating surface are inspired by the quiet rhythm of falling water. The matte glaze has a mineral quality that is subtle, natural, and quietly expressive. Each tile carries gentle variations that speak to its handcrafted origin, adding depth and character without distraction.
Made to order in Japan, Taki has a minimum order quantity of 30 square metres and a lead time of approximately eight weeks. It is suitable for interior wall applications including bathrooms, kitchens, and feature walls where texture and tone are preferred over ornament. The format is an elongated rectangle with a matte finish and a softly tactile surface. Taki offers a serene and enduring presence grounded in the artistry of Japanese tilemaking.
